Filly by EVASIVE from the immediate family of TUSCAN EVENING, who won 12 races, including the Gamely Stakes (G1), Las Palmas Handicap (G2), Santa Barbara Handicap (G2), Buena Vista Stakes (G2), Royal Heroine Mile (G2), Modesty Handicap (G3) and the Monrovia Handicap (G3).
Angel Island's dam, Dombeya, a daughter of Danehill, is a half-sister to Tuscan Evening.
ANGEL ISLAND won once and ran second once from just four starts in Ireland. She revealed great talent already on her debut, when she won impressively over 8.5 furlongs. Five of her rivals went on to win subsequently with the third placed filly, Set In Stone, winning 11 races.
Angel Island is a daughter of SO YOU THINK, a top class performer in Europe and Australia. He won ten Group 1 races, most notably the Prince of Wales's Stakes, Eclipse Stakes, Irish Champion Stakes, Cox Plate and Tattersalls Gold Cup (twice).

Daughter of MUTAJALLY out of PINDROP - from an excellent family that has produced black type winners for generations; such as STOTSFOLD, POPPY CAREW, LEPORELLO, CALYPSO GRANT, MARZELLINE and DEVIOUS BOY.
Pindrops' family is globally known for its very smart winners in Europe, North America and Japan. This filly is a half-sister to LANGHOLM, a tough and durable runners who has won 6 races and been placed 10 times (Langholm is in training in England and won in May).
This filly's sire, MUTAJALLY, has done remarkably well as a stallion. From just a limited number of mares covered, this impeccably bred son of TEOFILO has been on the mark with good winners like the classic winning millionaire HAMPUS G, MACJACK, NEW MAN and PERFECT ILLUSION.

A daughter of champion juvenile SIOUX NATION out of our mare BLUE DAHLIA, who comes from an excellent family of black type winners and successful broodmares.
Blue Dahlia is a daughter of the outstanding miler SHAMARDAL, who completed an impressive French classic double by winning the Poule d'Essai des Poulains (G1) and Prix du Jockey Club (G1), then went on to Royal Ascot, where he captured the St. James's Palace Stakes (G1). Shamardal also landed the Dewhurst Stakes (G1) as a champion juvenile.
Blue Dahlia is a Listed placed winner of 4 races.
She comes from the family of RIVER JIG, DANCE PARADE, OCEAN QUEEN, JIG, TOYLSOME etc. The interesting thing about her page is that all of the best performers where fillies, and that many of them went on to become excellent broodmares.

This well made daughter of the excellent stallion EVASIVE is a half-sister to the famous juvenile champion 2yo PURPLE ACE, one of the most exciting homebred youngsters seen in Norway for years, and winner of yet another valuable contest when he captured Norsk Mesterskap for 3-åringer on September 16. Furthermore, she is out of a mare from an excellent Aga Khan family. With the outstanding AZAMOUR as her broodmare sire, this filly could be something special.

His dam MASTOORA was a 110,000 guineas yearling at the Tattersalls October Sales, and a very talented winner in England - but got a short career. She is the dam of 6-time winner KNOXVILLE BLUES, and comes from the same family as classy runners like TEMPS AU TEMPS, BLUEBERRY FOREST and ARMORY - a Group 1 perfomer in training with Aidan O'Brien.

Blackmoonbreeding's big race treble!
Racedays like September 10, 2020 do not come around too often - and that it is possible to breed high class thoroughbreds capable of taking home the 'right' races in Scandinavia was firmly underscored on this raceday, when runners bred by Blackmoonbreeding and Knut O. Arnesen swept the stakes events at Øvrevoll Galopp. Hampus G, a son of Arnesen's stallion Mutajally, won the St. Leger, Purple Ace toyed with his rivals in Norsk Mesterskap for 2-åringer, while Mikimi captured Norsk Mesterskap for 3-åringer. Products of our breeding programme also filled third place both in NM for 2-åringer (Lady Malificent) and NM for 3-åringer (Powerplay). Six days later, Pirlo (bred by Knut's partner Inger Skrede) landed Norsk Forening For Fullblodsavl Løp, beating Hampus G - and our nice filly Sonriente won for the third time this year. The racing season is over, a new breeding season will soon be planned - and we seem to be on the right track!
